The Shirley Hotel is a handsome, elegant period property built in the French villa style as only the Victorians could, and what a splendid job they did. Their murder-mystery weekends are not to be missed; they have a seventies theme and are hilariously fun and scary, so "drag" out your flares and platforms if you know what we mean. The Shirley really is a fabulous hospitable and friendly stay.
